Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced associate attorney to join its Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in expanding their expertise in bankruptcy, restructuring, and workout matters, including real estate and asset-based finance transactions, specialty finance transactions, and equipment leasing. Location:

Duties:

  • Handle bankruptcy, restructuring, and workout matters

  • Work on real estate and asset-based finance transactions, specialty finance transactions, and equipment leasing

  • Participate in syndicated, participated, and program structures

  • Advise clients on legal issues related to bankruptcy and restructuring

  • Assist with document preparation and negotiation

  • Conduct legal research and analysis

  • Develop client relationships and provide exceptional client service

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners in case strategy and execution

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in finance transactions, particularly in bankruptcy and restructuring

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Strong academic record is preferred

  • Currently admitted to practice law in Nebraska, or ability to be admitted within one year

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Nebraska Bar License or ability to be admitted within one year of employment

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy, restructuring, and finance law

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
