A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney who is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar. The ideal candidate will have experience in foreclosure litigation, including motion practice and contested trials, and possess the ability to manage a substantial caseload independently.

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of foreclosure litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Conduct depositions, hearings, and mediations as needed.
  • Manage a large caseload effectively and efficiently.
  • Research legal issues and provide timely and accurate legal advice to clients.
  • Prepare for and participate in contested trials.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Preferably admitted to all 3 District Courts in Florida (Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in foreclosure litigation, including motion practice and contested trials.
  • Experience in general civil litigation, particularly in Personal Injury Protection (PIP), is a plus.
  • Bankruptcy experience is advantageous.
  • Outstanding writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Strong research and case management skills.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar (required).

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Ability to conduct depositions, hearings, and mediations effectively.
  • Legal research and analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
