Employment Law Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled Employment Law Associate Attorney with a background in defense law to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior experience in employment defense law, now looking to transition to a plaintiff's-side practice. The ideal candidate will bring a unique perspective and experience to the firm, which is dedicated to providing expert legal services in employment law.

Duties

• Negotiate favorable settlements for clients involved in employment law disputes.
• Specialize in employment-related areas, including personal injury law, workers' compensation, and tribal law regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing tools like Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
• Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, pleadings, and other necessary legal paperwork.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and participate in litigation when required.
• Stay current with legal developments and regulatory changes that could affect clients' cases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Experience in employment law in New Jersey, with a focus on defense law preferred.
• Strong understanding of legal principles, litigation processes, and client representation.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar in New Jersey (required).

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research platforms, including Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction and courtroom presentations.
