Complex Commercial Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an associate with at least 3 years of commercial litigation experience and/or judicial clerkship experience. This position is based in either the San Francisco, Menlo Park, or Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing skills, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication abilities. Former judicial clerks are highly preferred. 

Location:

• Menlo Park, CA

Duties:

• Handle complex commercial litigation cases across a variety of industries

• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft compelling motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents

• Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients on complex legal matters

• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials

• Collaborate with partners and senior associates to develop case strategies

• Manage discovery processes, including depositions and document review

• Foster strong client relationships through effective communication and professional service

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of commercial litigation experience or judicial clerkship experience

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities

• Former judicial clerks preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines effectively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials, including law review, preferred

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law in California

Skills:

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Proficiency in handling complex commercial litigation cases

• Ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents

• Strong oral advocacy skills

• Ability to manage multiple litigation matters efficiently

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
