Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and responsibilities and draft necessary legal documents related to their cases.
  • Represent clients in pretrial hearings and offer strategic guidance following each hearing.
  • Handle court appearances, and trial preparation, including drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and conducting legal research.
  • Analyze cases and predict potential outcomes based on legal precedents.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring deadlines and case milestones are met.
  • Provide clients with legal analysis, identifying potential benefits or risks associated with their cases.
  • Gather additional evidence to support clients' positions and challenge prosecution arguments.
  • Prepare clients for depositions, define case strategy goals, and work with witnesses and expert testimony to strengthen client defenses.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Criminal Defense law.
  • Proven track record handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and share insights with colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and dedication to providing top-tier client service.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in California.

Skills:

  • Expertise in criminal law and procedure.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in case management and client communication.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload.
