Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will defend employers and insurers in workers' compensation cases, providing exceptional legal representation and strategic counsel.

Job Duties:

• Defend employers and insurers in workers' compensation matters, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions of claimants, medical experts, and other relevant parties.
• Manage a caseload of up to 30 cases at various stages of litigation.
• Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies and provide ongoing legal advice.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California and good standing.
• 1-2 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably with exposure to workers' compensation defense.
• Strong writing and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with law and motion practice in workers' compensation proceedings.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
