This attorney will provide expert legal counsel on various renewable energy projects, focusing primarily on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities, as well as expertise in smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency. A strong commitment to client service, effective communication, and interpersonal collaboration is essential. The candidate must also bring a portable book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.
  • Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and execution of power purchase agreements and other contracts related to renewable energy projects.
  • Counsel clients on operational and regulatory issues affecting renewable energy facilities.
  • Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to renewable energy and energy efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on emerging trends and technologies within the renewable energy sector.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve legal issues and support project success.
  • Manage disputes and legal challenges associated with renewable energy projects.
  • Develop and maintain a portable book of business, demonstrating a strong client base in the renewable energy field.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the Bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy law.
  • Proven track record with a portable book of business.
  • In-depth knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell technologies.
  • Familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage systems, and energy efficiency.
