Associate Attorney needed for Saint Petersburg office

Location:

• Saint Petersburg, FL

Duties:

• Represent clients in state and federal court, handling business, corporate, commercial, and civil litigation cases.
• Manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution.
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums in support of or opposition to motions.
• Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients in various industries.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Handle complex legal issues, requiring critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to support business growth.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in state and federal litigation.
• Active Bar membership in good standing in Florida.
• Courtroom experience is required.
• Strong understanding of state and federal civil procedures.
• Experience in case management, legal research, and drafting motions and discovery requests.
• Ability to handle a moderate to heavy caseload.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Florida Bar.
• Admission to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida is preferred.
