Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Litigation Attorney to join its team in Boca Raton, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury litigation and trial work, with a focus on auto accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home abuse, and property damage cases. This role involves representing clients throughout the litigation process, from pre-suit to trial, in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Duties:

• Manage a caseload of 35-40 files, working closely with paralegals and legal assistants.
• Represent clients in litigation from pre-suit to trial, handling depositions, motion practice, and discovery.
• Lead trials as a First Chair attorney, preparing and presenting cases in court.
• Prepare and conduct fact and expert witness depositions.
• Participate in pre-trial motions, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with a team of litigation professionals to develop case strategies and ensure effective trial preparation.
• Maintain strong client communication, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the litigation process.
• Take part in ongoing training and workshops to enhance trial skills and legal knowledge.
• Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and high client service standards.

Requirements:

• Full-time availability.
• Member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation.
• Proven trial experience, including serving as First Chair during trial.
• Experience in general litigation, motion practice, and discovery.
• Strong deposition skills, including fact and expert witness depositions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients and colleagues effectively.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, organizational skills, and client service focus.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with case management software such as SmartAdvocate® is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Florida Bar membership (or willingness to obtain).
