Midlevel/Senior Structured Transactions Associate

Job Overview
A prominent law firm is seeking highly qualified midlevel or senior associates to join its structured transactions practice group. This role requires candidates with strong corporate and/or finance transactions experience. While background in structured finance and securitization is preferred, experience in RMBS/ABS/CLO/financing is also desirable.

Duties

• Work on structured finance and securitization transactions
• Handle complex corporate and finance transactions, including RMBS, ABS, CLOs, and financing
• Draft and review transactional documents
• Advise clients on corporate and finance-related matters
• Collaborate with colleagues to manage and execute transactions efficiently
• Provide legal counsel on the structuring of deals and related regulatory compliance

Requirements

• At least 3-6 years of law firm experience in corporate and/or finance transactions
• Background in structured finance and securitization is highly preferred
• Experience in RMBS, ABS, CLOs, and financing is a plus
• Strong academic credentials
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction of the office

• Strong legal writing, drafting, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients
• Ability to handle complex transactions and provide strategic legal advice
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

This large New York law firm opened with a labor and leveraged-leasing practice and quickly built a substantial corporate and litigation practice. Today the office is organized into the following practice groups: Business and Finance, Litigation, Labor and Employment Law, Environmental, Intellectual Property, Taxation, Personal Law, Antitrust, and Trade Regulation. Unlike many other national firms with local offices, the New York office has an independent practice base generated by its attorneys. The New York-based attorneys spend substantially all of their time working on behalf of clients of the New York office. The work environment is fairly casual and conservative, but the attorneys are rewarded with competitive salaries.
