Job Title: Appellate Attorney - Litigation Support

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm located in Winter Park, FL, is seeking a skilled Appellate Attorney to provide comprehensive legal support throughout the litigation process. This role requires expertise in trial and appellate law, legal strategy, and research. The attorney will collaborate closely with trial teams to frame legal and factual issues, draft critical documents, and present persuasive oral arguments. The position offers the opportunity to play a key role in high-stakes cases involving complex claims.

Duties:

• Provide thorough legal support from pleadings through post-trial and appeal.
• Conduct extensive legal research to develop and support case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Address pre-trial and post-trial motions with a focus on appellate standards.
• Assist in the strategic preparation for discovery, motions, and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate with trial attorneys to formulate case strategies and prepare for trial.
• Participate in hearings and trial arguments, both remotely and in person.
• Utilize legal technology to streamline case preparation and management.
• Attend trials and provide necessary litigation support.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in appellate and litigation support.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and think critically.
• Proficient in legal case management technology.
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines and manage caseloads independently.
• Experience in hearings and trials.
• High level of professionalism and commitment to ethics and client service.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in one or more state bars, including but not limited to Florida, Oregon, Illinois, New Mexico, Hawaii, Nevada, and USVI.
