Attorney needed for Charlotte office

Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking an experienced Attorney to represent corporate clients in Federal and State Courts, focusing on civil actions related to property damage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, experience with forensic experts, and a proven track record of handling complex legal matters.

Duties:

• Represent corporate clients in Federal and State Courts for civil actions related to property damage.
• Collaborate with forensic experts to investigate and evaluate the legal and financial viability of various causes of action in both single and multi-party litigation.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare for, attend, and present at court hearings.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and opposing counsel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Excellent academic credentials demonstrating strong legal aptitude.
• Admission to the North Carolina Bar is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in product defect claims, property damage claims, or construction issues.
• Experience working with forensic experts (e.g., fire origin and cause, mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, chemical; material, human factors, accounting, and standard of care) is highly desired.

Skills:

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to present compelling arguments and navigate complex legal issues.
