Trademark Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm based in Billings, MT, is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in trademark law. The ideal candidate will have expertise in trademark searching, global trademark strategy development, and domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement. Experience with TTAB proceedings, online and social media enforcement, and UDRP proceedings is a plus. The candidate must also demonstrate superior writing and communication skills, and foreign language skills are highly valued.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and analyze search results.
• Develop and execute global trademark strategies.
• Handle domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement.
• Manage and oversee trademark portfolios and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Represent clients in TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) proceedings.
• Address online and social media trademark issues and enforce trademark rights in digital spaces.
• Participate in UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy) proceedings.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including trademark applications and agreements.
• Provide counsel and strategic advice to clients on trademark matters.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals and clients to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in trademark law.
• Proven experience with trademark searching, global trademark strategy, and domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement.
• Familiarity with TTAB proceedings, online and social media enforcement, and UDRP proceedings is preferred.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Foreign language skills are highly valued.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in at least one state.
• Certification or specialization in trademark law (e.g., from the International Trademark Association) is a plus.
