Private Clients, Trusts And Estates Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to join its Private Clients, Trusts And Estates team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience in estate planning, trust administration, and client advisement. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices on estate planning matters.
• Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and ancillary documents.
• Conduct research on tax implications of planning techniques and provide projections.
• Prepare client educational materials and summaries.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand and advance their estate planning goals.
• Assist with estate and trust administration as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• 2-5 years of experience in estate planning and trust administration.
• Strong understanding of estate planning strategies and techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with sophisticated lifetime and testamentary planning strategies.
• Familiarity with New York estate and trust laws.
• Previous experience working with high-net-worth clients.
