Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team and focus on family law and domestic relations matters. The ideal candidate will be motivated, self-starter, and skilled in managing litigation cases. This position offers the opportunity to handle cases in courts across the Piedmont/Rt. 29 corridor and Northern Virginia, while building client relationships and delivering exceptional legal services. The role requires advocacy in court, negotiations, and legal document preparation, with the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Location:

  • Warrenton, VA

Duties:

  • Provide legal support to clients and assist senior attorneys.
  • Appear in court to litigate family law and domestic relations cases.
  • Develop and manage litigation strategies for clients.
  • Negotiate settlements and develop legal agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain and foster strong client relationships.
  • Prepare legal reports, documents, and correspondence.
  • Advocate for clients in court, ensuring their interests are protected.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Experience with courts in Northern Virginia, the Piedmont region, or the Rt. 29 corridor (preferred).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong legal knowledge, particularly in family law and domestic relations.
  • Proven ability to resolve legal disputes efficiently and effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Virginia State Bar license (required).
