A law firm in Orlando, FL, is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience. The candidate will be responsible for file review, legal analysis, extensive research, drafting of legal documents, and representing clients in court proceedings and arbitrations. Exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills are required.

 

Duties:

  • Reviewing files and conducting legal analysis of insurance claims and causes of action.
  • Conducting extensive legal research and drafting substantial briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
  • Maintaining an annual billable hour requirement of 1950 hours.
  • Regularly representing clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
  • Drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Retaining and collaborating with expert witnesses.
  • Preparation for trials and attendance at trial proceedings.
  • Possible travel as required for case-related matters.
  • Promptly responding to email and phone inquiries from clients.
  • Demonstrating excellent client skills and telephone manner.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Admitted to practice in the state of Florida, with admission in other states being a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage preferred.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid research abilities and written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage, and work effectively in a team environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in the state of Florida.

 

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research methods and tools.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of legal work efficiently.
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in responding promptly to inquiries via email and phone.
