Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience

A dynamic, rapidly growing law firm based in North Scottsdale is looking to expand its team by hiring a talented Associate Attorney to focus on complex litigation matters. This position is an excellent opportunity for a skilled attorney with experience in product defects, construction disputes, premises liability, insurance defense, general torts, and similar fields. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and litigate cases related to product defects, construction defects, premises liability, insurance, and tort law.
• Take depositions of lay witnesses and experts, ensuring thorough preparation and effective questioning.
• Contribute to developing case strategies, and providing critical legal analysis and research.
• Assist in trial preparation, including drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Support senior attorneys in trial proceedings, potentially serving as second chair or in a lead trial role.
• Cultivate client relationships, communicating regularly to update them on case status and next steps.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals to deliver top-tier legal representation and outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Arizona (required). Licensure in other Western U.S. states, including California, Washington, New Mexico, Utah, Oregon, Colorado, or Nevada, is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong focus on the areas of product liability, construction, and insurance defense.
• Proven ability to draft clear, concise legal documents, and perform detailed legal analysis.
• Hands-on experience in taking and defending depositions, including those of expert witnesses.
• Some trial experience, including preparation, second-chair work, or leading cases, is a strong advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience handling high-value cases is a plus, particularly in personal injury or commercial litigation.
• Comfort working in a team-oriented environment and contributing collaboratively to case strategies.
• High degree of organization, time management, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
