A law firm seeks a Transactional Franchise & Distribution Associate Attorney to join its team in Miami, FL. This role is ideal for an attorney with experience in U.S. franchising regulations and expertise in drafting franchise agreements and handling regulatory filings. The position involves advising on complex business transactions within the franchise sector, supporting both domestic and international clients.

Duties:

  • Draft and review franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and regulatory filings.
  • Provide legal guidance on complex business transactions related to franchise and distribution matters.
  • Counsel clients on franchising compliance and regulatory obligations, from both domestic and international perspectives.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys on transactional and litigation matters within franchise law.
  • Serve a diverse client base, including start-up franchisors, established franchise corporations, private equity firms, and international companies expanding into the U.S. market.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional franchise law.
  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. franchise regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Admission to practice law in Florida, or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission.
