Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its team in Kansas City, KS. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and determined advocate, focused on maximizing client recovery and ensuring the best possible case outcomes. Location:

  • Kansas City, KS

Duties:

  • Conduct intake and first meetings with clients, building trust and documenting pertinent case facts
  • Direct investigations to develop strong trial cases, assess insurance coverage, and gather essential evidence
  • Prepare cases for trial and negotiate settlements, ensuring the best outcome for clients
  • Maintain strategic relationships with adjusters while negotiating aggressively
  • File suit when necessary and guide clients through the litigation process
  • Draft and review pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents for lawsuits
  • Prepare and execute trial strategies, including mediation and arbitration
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure timely and efficient case management
  • Achieve targets, including resolving 95% of cases with Full Settlement Value and generating $1.5 million in attorney fees per year

Requirements:

  • Experience with a focus on client advocacy and case management
  • Proven ability to resolve cases with favorable settlements and maximize recovery for clients
  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Kansas (or ability to obtain it)

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and investigative abilities
  • Compassionate client interaction and advocacy
  • Proficiency in trial preparation and strategy
  • Excellent negotiation and settlement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines
