Job Overview

A leading law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. This role will focus on energy transition financing, offering the opportunity to work on globally recognized and innovative energy finance deals. The associate will be involved in handling complex transactions related to financing and M&A in the energy transition space, including tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.

Duties

  • Handle complex transactions related to financing and M&A of energy transition projects and companies.
  • Manage tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents for project financing and M&A transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients on strategic legal and financial matters within the energy transition space.
  • Lead and support innovative energy transition financing deals.
  • Work across multiple offices to provide consistent and high-quality legal services.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Strong experience with tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
  • Excellent legal drafting and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex, multi-party transactions.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
