A law firm seeks a mid-level leveraged finance associate to enhance its team, which focuses on supporting both lender and borrower practices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in leveraged buyout financing. Candidates should possess strong academic credentials and substantial experience in a large law firm, alongside exceptional analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Duties

  • Facilitate the structuring and negotiation of leveraged finance transactions, specifically regarding buyouts and acquisitions.
  • Provide comprehensive support for both lender and borrower-side practices within the finance team.
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence and thorough analysis of financing agreements and related documentation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate essential legal documents, including loan agreements and credit facilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams to develop innovative financing strategies.
  • Stay informed about current market trends and legal developments pertinent to leveraged finance.

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant experience in leveraged finance or a comparable field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance is preferred.
