Trial Attorney Personal Injury

Job Overview:
A well-established civil litigation firm is seeking a highly motivated Trial Attorney with experience in personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience and will handle a heavy caseload, manage litigation plans, conduct discovery, and maintain exceptional client interactions. A strong desire to handle trial work, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. The Trial Attorney will report directly to the Lead Attorney and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to zealously advocating for clients.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Manage day-to-day handling of cases from filing to trial
• Lead and provide guidance to the litigation team
• Take depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Review and oversee drafted documents from staff and associates
• Plan and strategize trial preparation and strategy
• Prepare Motions in Limine and associated trial documents
• Negotiate settlements and participate in settlement/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations)
• Serve as First and Second Chair during jury trials
• Handle post-trial motions
• Provide legal opinions to clients

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant trial experience
• At least 3-5 trials as First Chair
• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
• A minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience
• Ability to work under strict deadlines and manage a large caseload
• Strong legal research and analysis skills
• Proficiency in legal writing and law and motion experience
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership with the California State Bar

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a major plus
