Job Title: Senior Attorney

Job Overview
A prominent law firm is looking for an experienced Senior Attorney to manage a substantial caseload and provide independent, strategic legal counsel. This role requires a skilled attorney with a proven ability to represent clients both in court and outside of it. As a Senior Attorney, you'll be expected to mentor junior associates and employ excellent communication and writing skills to help achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Duties

  • Stay informed about local, state, and federal law changes.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates to resolve legal conflicts.
  • Conduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in court, arguing motions and advocating for favorable rulings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior attorney or associate role within the legal field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on persuasive writing and client interaction.
  • Demonstrated experience in trial litigation, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload independently and efficiently.

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree and a law degree from an accredited institution (LLM, J.D., or equivalent).

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
