Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm in Rochester, NY, seeks a talented and dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, legal advocacy, and writing skills, with a preference for those with Federal Court experience. This position requires excellent analytical abilities and the capacity to engage in direct client contact. A New York Bar license is mandatory.

Job Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court and during legal proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, motions, and memos.
• Manage all phases of the litigation process, from investigation and pleadings through discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
• Analyze case law, statutes, regulations, and legal articles.
• Collaborate with clients to develop litigation strategies.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
• Prepare and present oral arguments in court.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with clients.
• Work independently and manage a significant workload with minimal supervision.

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience.
• Strong communication, legal advocacy, and writing skills.
• Federal Court experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage a demanding caseload.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active New York Bar license.
