A law firm seeks a dedicated associate attorney to join its legal team in Pittsburgh, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney to gain experience in civil litigation, including employment, workers' compensation, and family law matters. The role provides flexibility for remote work while requiring the candidate to manage key litigation tasks, including depositions, hearings, and trial support. This position offers the chance to collaborate closely with senior attorneys on complex cases and to build strong client relationships.

Duties

  • Assist in civil litigation matters, including cases related to employment, workers' compensation, and family law.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials as needed.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and provide advice.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters and case management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
  • Experience in litigation is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Interest in developing expertise in civil litigation, with a focus on employment, workers' compensation, and family law.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania Bar is required.
