  • Represent clients in court for motion hearings, arraignments, pre-trials, pleas, and sentencing

  • Collaborate with both criminal defense and immigration teams on cases involving overlapping legal issues

  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, and assess case strategies

  • Analyze outcomes using legal precedent and advise clients on potential case resolutions

  • Maintain client communication and manage an individual caseload effectively

  • Participate in strategic team discussions and case development with other attorneys and legal assistants

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in the state of California

  • Background in criminal defense or immigration law

  • Experience managing cases in state and local courts

  • Capacity to work independently while engaging collaboratively with colleagues

  • Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills

  • Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Proven ability to maintain professionalism and empathy in client interactions

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar membership
