Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Roseville, CA, is seeking a talented Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and have a strong background in litigation, particularly in California law. A current California State Bar license in good standing is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload involving civil litigation matters, including but not limited to commercial disputes, employment law, personal injury, and contract disputes.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Collaborate with partners, senior associates, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on litigation and dispute resolution strategies.
• Maintain communication with clients and provide regular updates on case progress.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations in all aspects of litigation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
• 2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on civil litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality client service.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in drafting and arguing motions.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
