Duties:

  • Handle day-to-day pre-litigation tasks for personal injury cases, including client consultations and case evaluations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with updates and legal advice while maintaining sensitivity to their needs.
  • Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents, including letters, memos, and client communications.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal support staff to manage cases and develop case strategies.
  • Prepare and review case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Manage a high caseload efficiently, prioritizing tasks and deadlines.
  • Maintain a client-centered approach to legal practice, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Maine or eligible to become licensed.
  • Experience in personal injury law or related practice areas is preferred, but entry-level candidates with a strong interest in this field will be considered.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with clients.
  • Strong research and writing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high caseload.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Maine State Bar or ability to obtain admission.
