Job Overview: A leading law firm based in Nashville, TN, is seeking a dedicated and experienced attorney to join its growing legal team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and provide legal representation to clients, including financial institutions, mortgage servicers, and banks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of consumer credit collections, and be ready to manage a variety of legal matters.

Duties:

  • Utilize case management and reporting software to handle assigned legal matters effectively.
  • Represent clients in court, with some travel required for appearances.
  • Provide legal services across various areas, including appellate advocacy, bankruptcy solutions, consumer collections, creditors' rights, foreclosure, eviction, litigation support, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure superior client care and proactive communication.
  • Stay updated on state laws in the licensed jurisdiction, particularly regarding consumer credit collections and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

  • Active Bar License in good standing (required).
  • Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with consumer credit collections and applicable state laws.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding client care and proactive communication.

Education:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must hold an active Bar License in Tennessee or be eligible for reciprocity.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Experience using legal case management and reporting software.
  • Knowledge of FDCPA and state laws related to consumer collections.
