Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 2-3 years of experience in insurance defense to join its Carmichael office. This hybrid role offers a mix of remote work and in-office responsibilities, with court appearances as required. The attorney will handle a caseload from start to resolution, working directly with clients and collaborating closely with the managing attorney. This position provides a fast track to partnership for the right candidate.

Duties:

• Manage full case-handling responsibilities for insurance defense matters.
• Represent insurance companies and self-insured entities in litigation.
• Handle all aspects of case management, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Make court appearances and participate in hearings and trials as required.
• Maintain direct client contact, providing legal advice and case updates.
• Collaborate with the managing attorney on complex litigation strategies.
• Oversee cases from inception through final resolution.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with all stages of litigation, from discovery to trial.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar (required).
