This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional travel to the Bay Area for court appearances and client meetings.

Duties:

  • Draft and respond to Requests for Orders (RFOs).
  • Appear at law and motion hearings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial preparation.
  • Develop discovery plans in collaboration with partners.
  • Propound discovery requests and evaluate evidence.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Draft discovery motions.
  • Identify and analyze legal issues in family law cases.
  • Use case management software to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
  • Participate actively in managing cases, including client interactions and expert collaboration.
  • Travel to the Bay Area for court appearances and meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Active California Bar License.
  • 4-10 years of experience in family law and litigation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings and court appearances within the Bay Area.
  • Strong understanding of family law proceedings and procedural nuances.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team of attorneys.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and legal analysis capabilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
