A law firm seeks a versatile and dedicated attorney to join its busy practice in Hanover, Pennsylvania. This position involves managing a diverse caseload, including criminal defense, family law, real estate, estate planning and administration, bankruptcy, and civil litigation. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal expertise, effective communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent client service.

Duties

  • Represent clients in criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation cases.
  • Provide counsel and handle transactions in real estate matters.
  • Develop and implement estate plans, including wills and trusts, and manage estate administration processes.
  • Advise clients on bankruptcy matters and guide them through the legal process.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies tailored to client goals.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive and effective client representation.

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania Bar license and in good standing.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: criminal defense, family law, real estate, estate planning/administration, bankruptcy, or civil litigation.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (required).

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research, case preparation, and trial advocacy.
