Job Overview: A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney specializing in Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation. The ideal candidate will support the firm's practice by advising clients on employee benefits and compensation matters.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on employee benefits and executive compensation issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, executive compensation plans, and benefit plan documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to ERISA, ACA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Assist in compliance audits and internal investigations related to benefits and compensation matters.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and departments on complex legal issues.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and before regulatory agencies as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 2-6 years of relevant legal experience in Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation law, preferably within a law firm setting.
  • Strong understanding of ERISA, ACA, tax implications, and related regulations.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certification in Employee Benefits or Executive Compensation law (e.g., CEBS, Certified Specialist).

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing proficiency.
  • Negotiation and contract drafting skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
