A law firm seeks a Senior Real Estate Attorney to join its team in Los Angeles. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced attorney to represent clients in real estate matters, including law and motion practice, negotiations, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will have a background in real estate, construction, and landlord/tenant law, and will play a key role in legal proceedings while providing expert counsel to clients.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in court and before relevant government agencies.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents related to real estate transactions and disputes.
  • Engage in law and motion practice for real estate cases.
  • Negotiate settlements for real estate disputes, ensuring client interests are upheld.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations in real estate matters.
  • Oversee administrative and management tasks within the law practice.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of prior experience in real estate, construction, and/or landlord/tenant law is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of California civil procedure.
  • Proven ability to solve problems and analyze complex legal issues.
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A real estate broker’s license is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing (Required).
  • Real estate broker’s license (Preferred).

Skills:

  • Expertise in legal drafting and legal research, particularly in real estate law.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate for clients in legal disputes.
  • Proficiency in understanding and applying California civil procedure.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Client-focused with the ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly and effectively.
