Associate Attorney needed for Salt Lake City office

A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their team in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent analytical and writing skills, and significant international legal experience. Experience with drafting transactional documents, corporate law, securities, and mergers and acquisitions is a plus. Fluency in a second language and experience living or working overseas are highly desirable. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to ethics and be willing to either be a member of the Utah Bar or take the Utah Bar exam.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft and review transactional documents for various legal matters.
• Handle general corporate, securities, and mergers and acquisitions cases.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
• Provide legal counsel on international legal issues.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues on complex legal matters.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Stay current on changes in international law and relevant legal practices.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and professional conduct in all activities.

Requirements:

• High academic performance and strong analytical and writing skills.
• 4-6 years of significant international legal experience with a recognized international law firm, major multinational corporation, or government.
• Experience drafting transactional documents and handling general corporate, securities, and mergers and acquisitions matters is a plus.
• Experience living or working overseas is highly desirable.
• Fluency in a second language, such as Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Swahili, Hindi, or Tagalog, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and a strong work ethic.
• Highly motivated to learn and work diligently.
• Member of the Utah Bar or willing to take the Utah Bar exam.
• If not currently a member of the Utah Bar, must be a licensed attorney in good standing in another U.S. state.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Member of the Utah Bar or willing to take the Utah Bar exam.
• Licensed attorney in good standing in another U.S. state if not currently a member of the Utah Bar.
