Duties:

  • Handle litigation caseload from inception through trial or resolution.
  • Conduct extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations.
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Draft and interpret contracts and legal documents.
  • Attend court hearings and trials.
  • Prepare pleadings and letters.
  • Handle discovery requests and take depositions.
  • Draft motions, responses, and other state and federal court case filings.
  • Appear in court and interact with clients.
  • Investigate facts related to cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of plaintiff litigation experience.
  • Specific exposure to personal injury and property damage litigation preferred.
  • Significant experience with written and electronic discovery.
  • Experience taking depositions.
  • Experience with trial preparation and participation.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service.
  • Willingness to participate in business development efforts.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida by the Florida Bar Association.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
