Duties

• Provide legal representation for both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage and oversee a diverse caseload, ensuring timely progress and resolution of cases.
• Conduct client intakes, including visits to detention centers to meet with clients.
• Prepare and file various immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defenses.
• Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed.
• Liaise with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding immigration law updates and cases.
• Meet with prospective clients to provide strategic immigration consultations.
• Develop legal strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
• Provide thorough legal analysis to determine case benefits for clients.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for a wide range of immigration matters.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in immigration law.
• Proven ability to handle a caseload and move legal cases forward efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
• Experience working on Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Ability to collaborate and strategize with fellow attorneys and legal staff.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
