Job Overview: A law firm specializing in finance law seeks a motivated Junior to Mid-Level Finance Associate Attorney to join its team in Reston, VA. Job Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence promptly.
  • Provide accurate and timely work products while meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Foster positive relationships and maintain compliance with firm policies.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including computer work, virtual conference calls, and in-person meetings as required.
  • Perform all assigned duties, tasks, or projects with attention to detail and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Virginia.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Experience handling financing and M&A transactions in the energy transition sector, including tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Good business judgment and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including persuasive communication and the ability to influence others.
  • Effective research and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
