Insurance Recovery and Counseling Associate Attorney

A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking an experienced Insurance Recovery and Counseling Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for those who have handled complex insurance coverage litigation and counseling matters on the policyholder side. This role involves providing expert legal advice, managing insurance recovery cases, and representing clients in various legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Manage complex insurance coverage litigation and counseling matters on behalf of policyholders.
• Provide strategic legal advice on insurance recovery, policy interpretations, and related issues.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advice.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues to develop and implement effective legal solutions.
• Stay informed about legal developments and industry trends affecting insurance recovery.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience with a focus on insurance coverage and recovery matters.
• Preferred experience in complex insurance coverage litigation and counseling from the policyholder's perspective.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies and related legal issues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Skills:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Proven experience in managing complex insurance coverage litigation.
