A law firm seeks an experienced Civil Associate Attorney who is ready to take on significant responsibility and advance their career. Duties:

  • Independently manage a diverse caseload, focusing on civil litigation and insurance subrogation cases.
  • Conduct depositions, argue motions, and attend inspections of defective parts and machines.
  • Prepare litigation strategies in collaboration with partner attorneys.
  • Conduct trials and handle appeals independently.
  • Draft concise research articles for client newsletters and deliver educational presentations to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and regular updates.
  • Oversee a team of support staff, paralegals, and junior associates, ensuring productivity and timely case resolution.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in civil litigation, preferably with insurance subrogation expertise.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to advocate persuasively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Experience in trial preparation and court appearances.
  • Proven ability to negotiate favorable settlements.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality legal work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the drive to mentor and inspire support staff.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri.

Certifications:

  • Missouri State Bar membership required.
