General Liability Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a dedicated General Liability Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will handle various responsibilities involving litigation, client representation, and legal analysis in general liability.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough file reviews and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantive briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions regularly.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests efficiently and effectively.
• Coordinate with and manage expert witnesses as needed.
• Prepare meticulously for trials and attend trials as required.
• Occasional travel may be necessary for client meetings or hearings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience, specifically in General Liability.
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admission to practice law in Maryland and other states is a plus.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong research skills and proficiency in both written and oral communication.
• Excellent work ethic with the ability to self-manage and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Prompt responsiveness to client inquiries via email and phone.
• Exceptional client management skills with a professional telephone manner.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admission to the Maryland State Bar; admission in additional states considered advantageous.
