Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Resource Attorney to support its Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation practice. This attorney will play a key role in ensuring the team remains informed and efficient, contributing to the development of client alerts, white papers, and practice resources. The role will focus on internal support rather than direct client representation, meaning the attorney will not bill time.

Location:

  • Boston, MA

Duties:

  • Stay current on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the IP Litigation group.
  • Develop topics and assist in the creation of client alerts, white papers, blog posts, and similar publications.
  • Create and maintain practice resources that facilitate knowledge exchange and client interaction.
  • Update and organize archives of work product and legal know-how.
  • Coordinate speaking engagements, webinars, and related materials.
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to execute branding strategies and analyze market trends.
  • Provide necessary information to assist lawyers and the Marketing team with responses to RFPs and business development opportunities.
  • Foster consistency and best practices within the group to ensure efficient client and prospective client interaction.
  • Collaborate with Professional Development to ensure skills development and training across the team.
  • Coordinate with Information Services to assess technologies and develop solutions that improve group efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in patent litigation, with a background in trade secret litigation.
  • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create and review clear and concise legal publications and resources.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage an audience effectively.
  • Strong intellectual, interpersonal, and technical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Expertise in patent and trade secret litigation.
  • Knowledge of industries such as technology and life sciences.
  • Proficiency in developing internal resources and tools to enhance team efficiency.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal topics into clear, accessible content.
  • Advanced organizational and project management skills.
