Attorney needed for New York City office

Job Overview:

A law firm based in New York City, NY is seeking a motivated and organized Attorney to manage a high-volume caseload effectively. The ideal candidate will excel in developing defense strategies, be open to feedback, and have the ability to meet goals promptly. The Attorney will handle various aspects of defense litigation, including preparation, communication, and trial work across multiple practice areas.

Duties:

• Prepare case files for defense from inception to resolution.
• Conduct extensive reporting and communication with clients and insurers.
• Conduct depositions and prepare and argue motions.
• Engage in trial preparation and represent clients effectively in court.
• Develop and implement appropriate defense strategies.
• Manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload efficiently.

Requirements:

• Admission to the New York and Florida State Bar is mandatory.
• Admission to the New Jersey, Missouri, Illinois, and/or Pennsylvania State Bar is a plus.
• 1-6 years of experience, preferably in defense litigation.
• Excellent academic credentials and a proven track record in legal practice.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York and Florida State Bar.
• Additional certifications or admissions in New Jersey, Missouri, Illinois, and/or Pennsylvania are advantageous.
