A law firm is seeking an Entry-Level Immigration Attorney in Las Vegas, NV.

 

Job Overview:

The Entry-Level Immigration Attorney will work closely with the Senior Associate Attorney and the Immigration Team to manage caseloads, interact with clients, and provide strategic solutions in various immigration matters.

 

Duties:

  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
  • Manage workload of cases efficiently
  • Visit and conduct intakes with detained individuals at centers
  • Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
  • Review immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustments
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law
  • Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients
  • Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony
  • Provide legal analysis to clients to determine case benefits
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases

 

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of Immigration Law Experience
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Nevada or eligible for admission
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications
  • Familiarity with Case Management Software preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong record of moving legal cases forward and managing caseloads effectively
