A law firm seeks an experienced and highly skilled Estate Planning and Probate Attorney to join its esteemed practice in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in estate planning, business succession planning, trust administration, and probate litigation. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a mid-level attorney to contribute to a growing team while providing high-quality legal services to a diverse client base. Strong communication skills, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to client success are essential for this position.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on all aspects of estate planning, including the creation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
  • Develop strategies for business succession and tax-efficient wealth transfer
  • Represent clients in trust and probate administration, including resolving disputes
  • Handle all aspects of probate litigation, including contested wills, trust disputes, and fiduciary matters
  • Draft and review estate planning documents, including complex trust agreements
  • Guide clients through the legal processes involved in trust administration and asset distribution
  • Conduct meetings with clients to assess their estate planning needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior attorneys and legal staff
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on long-term client satisfaction
  • Stay current on changes in estate planning, probate law, and tax law to ensure clients receive the best legal advice

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration
  • Proven track record in probate litigation and dispute resolution
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing client relationships and mentoring junior attorneys
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues with minimal supervision
  • Established client base and local ties to the Phoenix area are preferred
  • Active membership in the State Bar of Arizona and in good standing

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Arizona
