Medical Malpractice Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated and motivated attorney with 0-5 years of litigation experience to join its Medical Malpractice team. Duties:

• Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Conduct and summarize depositions.
• Participate in the discovery process by issuing and answering written discovery and examining documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare reports.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties.
• Make court appearances and represent clients during hearings and trials.
• Communicate complex legal matters to clients and stakeholders in an accessible manner.

Requirements:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential and privileged information.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan (or recent graduate awaiting Bar results).
