Liability Defense Attorney

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation, focusing on liability defense matters
• Handle all stages of litigation, including case preparation, discovery, depositions, and motions
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met
• Advise clients on defense strategies and provide legal counsel throughout the litigation process
• Collaborate with colleagues to strategize and implement case tactics
• Participate in hearings, depositions, and trials as required
• Maintain strong client relationships by providing regular updates and addressing client inquiries

Requirements:

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar (required)
• 2-4 years of experience in civil litigation, with an emphasis on liability defense
• General litigation experience is a plus
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and well-organized
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar (required)
