The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in tax transactions and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to clients. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on a wide range of tax-related matters, including transactional tax issues, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructurings.
  • Work closely with clients to assess their tax needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Draft and review tax-related documents and agreements, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Advise clients on tax strategies and the potential implications of tax laws on business transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including corporate and finance attorneys, to handle complex transactions.
  • Participate in the firm’s mentorship and professional development programs designed to support lateral associates during their transition.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in tax transactional law.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal tax law, particularly in the context of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and business reorganizations.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
