Job Title: Senior Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Senior Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth, where the candidate will work on a range of immigration cases, including both detained and non-detained individuals. The ideal candidate will bring extensive immigration law experience, possess strong legal strategy skills, and have the ability to manage complex caseloads in collaboration with legal assistants and fellow attorneys.

Duties:

  • Provide detailed explanations of immigration concepts and present viable legal solutions.
  • Represent clients in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a diverse caseload efficiently and provide regular updates to clients.
  • Conduct intake and legal evaluations for detained clients at detention centers.
  • Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and revise immigration documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates.
  • Conduct client consultations to assess legal strategies and potential case benefits.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and USCIS interviews.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for a wide variety of immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other attorneys and legal assistants.
  • Preferred bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proven track record of managing legal cases and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Familiarity with legal case management software is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Texas.

Certifications:

  • Licensed attorney, admitted to the bar in Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, analysis, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced and high-volume caseload.
