A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Class Action Associate Attorney for their San Diego, CA office.

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Class Action Associate Attorney will be responsible for effectively communicating with clients, lawyers, and third parties, producing high-quality work products, meeting deadlines, and fostering positive work relationships.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence promptly and efficiently.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform all required work duties.
  • Foster positive work relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Experience with class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation is highly preferred.
  • Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
  • Previous federal clerkship is a plus.
  • Class action experience is preferred.
  • Superior writing, research, and analytical skills with the ability to navigate and take ownership of a multi-matter docket.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California.
